This is not an implementation-only role — the client is looking for someone who drives technical decisions, challenges assumptions, and shapes architecture from the ground up.

Language: English B2 minimum | Level: Senior–Lead | Location: Portugal-based, fully remote PROJECT & CONTEXT You'll be working on the backend of an Amsterdam-based trading platform, contributing directly to system architecture design, technical decision-making, and the evolution of a serverless AWS-based infrastructure.

Stack: TypeScript, AWS Lambda (Serverless), AWS CDK, DynamoDB, TypeSpec WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Senior or lead-level experience in TypeScript backend development , with production-grade delivery in complex environments Strong hands-on experience with AWS Serverless architecture, specifically AWS Lambda and AWS CDK Experience with DynamoDB or comparable NoSQL database solutions Ability to design and discuss system architecture at a high level — not just implement, but shape and own technical direction Proven capacity to evaluate technical trade-offs and propose well-reasoned alternatives Confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and drive better outcomes through technical debate Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments where requirements evolve and clarity needs to be created Familiarity with TypeSpec or similar API specification tooling English B2 or above — required for collaboration with the Amsterdam-based client team Based in Portugal , available to work fully remotely NI
