Lead Business Analyst - Data

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2900000 (ie INR 10 - 29 LPA) Min Experience: 12+ years Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Hyderabad JobType: full-time Are you an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in data-driven initiatives and Azure data platforms? This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise data and cloud initiatives, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and data engineering teams. Requirements Key Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and data specifications. • Work with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Databricks, and SQL. • Define data models, data flows, ingestion, and transformation requirements. • Establish data quality rules, validation checks, metadata, and governance requirements. • Define KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and business reporting requirements. • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and technical teams. • Support Agile delivery, UAT, and end-to-end requirements traceability. Key Skills Required: • 12–15 years of experience in Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis • Strong understanding of Azure data platforms, ADLS, Databricks, and SQL • Knowledge of data modeling, data pipelines, and data lake/lakehouse concepts • Experience in data quality, governance, metadata, and data validation • Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and UAT Preferred: Experience in enterprise data modernization, cloud migration, BI/reporting, and regulatory or audit-related data initiatives. Ideal Candidate: A senior BA who can effectively translate complex business needs into actionable data requirements and collaborate with technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions.
