BIM Technician - Rail

+ We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic BIM Modeller to join the Integrated Complementary Resource Centre GCC AU India BIM team in Bengaluru to work alongside our AU Rail disciplines.

+ The successful candidate will be working in a team environment to develop and deliver projects through various stages of design, from feasibility to planning/detailed design and construction.

Working with the Civil & Structural Group Lead in AU to develop cost-effective, efficient and innovative Civil & Structural solutions to complex problems and then using engineering tools such as Open Building Designer (mandatory), Microstation Tekla, Robot, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit to create practical designs based on these solutions.

_ + Create and maintain detailed 3D structural models for Rail infrastructure, Maritime structure, lineside and civil/Building structural assets using BIM software, including MicroStation, Open Buildings Designer (mandatory, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, iTwin, and Revit.

+ Interpret architectural and engineering plans to develop integrated structural models. + Generate and extract 2D drawings, details, and schedules from 3D models for construction documentation. + Perform clash detection and resolve spatial conflicts between structural, architectural, and MEP components.

+ Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements. + Update and modify models as per revised plans, specifications, or redline markups. + Maintain project BIM libraries, templates, and families.

+ You will be working and supporting a range of infrastructure schemes to independently develop engineering BIM models and drawings under the relevant standards. + You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and be active on several projects at any given time.

+ You will read and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety, including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual + You will take responsibility for your own personal development with the support of the line manager and follow an agreed development plan.

Key Competencies / Skills + Ability to utilise 3D MicroStation, AECOsim / OpenBuilding, ProjectWise, AutoCAD Revit, ACC, in adherence to defined CAD & BIM standards to develop 3D modelling, layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.

+ Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems. + Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings.

+ Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production. + Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.

+ Assists with establishing, maintaining and enforcing the use of proper CAD & BIM standards and procedures. + Undertake reviews of work produced by others to ensure high quality of CAD output. + AU / any International Rail project experience and working knowledge of International design standards. + You
