Job Requirements Education and Work Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred • Experience in an acute care facility: Preferred Licenses/Certifications • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy: Required • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale: Required Essential Functions • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. • Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. • Develops care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes. • Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. • Evaluates patient progress toward outcome attainment. • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and caring environment. • Provides educational opportunities for patients/family members and team members. • Directly delivers health information to patients and families. • Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. • Delegates responsibilities and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
