Senior Debtors Controller

Duties & Responsibilities DEBTORS CONTROLLER Location: Epping Industrial, Cape Town Salary: R20,000 per month Work arrangement: On-site We are seeking an experienced Debtors Controller to manage debtors across multiple branches. The successful candidate will oversee collections, maintain accurate account records and support effective credit control. Minimum Requirements • Matric. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in debtors control or credit control. • Experience managing debtors across multiple branches or business units. • Strong collections, reconciliation and administrative skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • A relevant Finance, Accounting or Credit Management qualification will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities • Manage the debtors portfolio and collect outstanding payments. • Monitor debtor ageing, follow up on overdue accounts and escalate credit risks. • Reconcile accounts, allocate payments and resolve queries. • Liaise with clients and branch managers regarding balances and payment arrangements. • Prepare monthly statements, reconciliations and ageing reports. • Identify potentially irrecoverable accounts and recommend year-end bad debt provisions. • Support month-end, year-end and audit processes. • Ensure compliance with company credit control policies and procedures.
