Principal Design Director

Overview The Principal Design Director (FOS) will lead the design management and technical delivery of large-scale industrial developments, ensuring design excellence, coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and successful project execution from concept through commissioning. Your role • Lead and oversee the overall design strategy, technical governance, and project delivery. • Manage multidisciplinary engineering and design teams across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, process, and specialist disciplines. • Coordinate design interfaces between clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. • Drive design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives. • Ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements. • Support project planning, execution strategies, and risk management activities. • Provide technical leadership during construction and commissioning phases. • Mentor and develop engineering and design teams. About you • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or any related discipline. • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in design, engineering, and project delivery. • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on major capital projects. • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities. • Demonstrated experience in EPC/EPCM project environments. • Experience in pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, or data center projects will be a significant advantage. • Professional registration or chartered status preferred.
