About the company Forum Recruitment is partnering with a well-established property organisation with a diverse portfolio of retail assets across New Zealand. The business is recognised for its commitment to operational excellence, customer experience, and maintaining high-quality property environments. About the role Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of all facilities operations across a busy retail asset. This role combines operational excellence, capital works delivery, contractor management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include: • Managing tenancy delivery projects from approval through to completion and trade commencement • Coordinating capital works, maintenance programmes, and asset lifecycle projects • Preparing and managing operational and capital expenditure budgets • Overseeing contractor performance across cleaning, security, mechanical services, and specialist trades • Maintaining compliance with all relevant statutory, building, health and safety, and risk management requirements • Driving sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the asset • Developing strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and key stakeholders About you To be successful in this role, you will have: • Facilities management experience within a retail or mixed-use property environment • Demonstrated experience delivering tenancy projects and capital works programmes • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and procurement • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance, and contractor management • Experience managing multiple stakeholders within a fast-paced operational environment • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills • A proactive and hands-on approach to facilities management What's in it for you? • Opportunity to manage a significant retail asset with a varied workload • Exposure to tenancy delivery, capital projects, and operational leadership • Support from an experienced property and facilities management team • Long-term career development opportunities • Competitive salary package and performance incentives • Collaborative and supportive working environment Next Steps Please attach your resume and cover letter by following the links on this website to APPLY.
