Job Description

Role Overview : As the Lead - Network Engineer based in Nigeria, you will serve as the technical authority responsible for the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of our enterprise-wide network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional IT leadership, global stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure our connectivity solutions are resilient, scalable, and secure. By spearheading the evolution of our network architecture - including the transition to SD-WAN and advanced security frameworks - you will directly influence the operational efficiency and digital transformation of the business, ensuring seamless connectivity for our users and high availability for mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities : - Architect and oversee the implementation of complex network solutions to ensure high-performance connectivity across all regional sites and data centers. - Direct the daily operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC) to proactively monitor system health and minimize downtime for internal and external stakeholders. - Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of network security protocols and firewall configurations to protect corporate assets against evolving cyber threats. - Lead the integration of SD-WAN technologies to optimize bandwidth utilization and improve application performance for a distributed workforce. - Mentor junior engineering teams and provide high-level technical guidance on complex troubleshooting efforts to maintain optimal network stability. - Collaborate with business units to align network infrastructure roadmaps with long-term organizational growth and digital expansion goals. Required Skillset : - Demonstrated mastery in designing and managing enterprise-grade network architectures, with a deep understanding of routing and switching protocols in large-scale Cisco environments. - Proven ability to manage complex Network Management Systems and infrastructure deployments, backed by active CCIE or CCNP/CCNA certifications. - Exceptional analytical skills to lead root-cause analysis and resolve critical network outages, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. - Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders. - Proven track record of leading large-scale infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the adaptability required for on-site operations in Nigeria. - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in network administration and security.
