Job Description

1. Business Development & New Customer Acquisition • Develop and execute a structured new-business development strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets. • Proactively identify and approach potential customers. • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects, opportunities and projects. • Conduct market mapping to identify companies with: • Outsourcing requirements • New product introductions • Manufacturing transfer opportunities • PCBA requirements • Box-build requirements • Equipment manufacturing requirements • System integration requirements • Engineering and prototyping requirements • Production capacity constraints • Supplier consolidation initiatives • Develop relationships with: • Engineering Directors • R&D Directors • Procurement / Sourcing • Operations / Manufacturing • Supply Chain • Program Managers • General Managers • Founders / Business Owners • Strategic decision makers • Convert qualified prospects into RFQs, prototype projects, pilot production and recurring manufacturing programs. 2. Promote Avi-Tech’s Total Manufacturing Solutions • Position Avi-Tech as a total manufacturing solutions provider. • Develop opportunities across the complete manufacturing value chain: Design / Engineering → Prototype → PCBA → Mechanical Integration → Box Build → System Integration → Testing → Equipment Build → Final Assembly → Production → After-Sales Support • Promote Avi-Tech capabilities and identify opportunities where customers can consolidate multiple suppliers into one integrated manufacturing partner . 3. Niche Manufacturing Market Development • Identify niche, high-value manufacturing segments where Avi-Tech can compete based on: • Engineering capability • Manufacturing flexibility • Low-to-medium volume production • High-mix manufacturing • Complex assemblies • Short lead times • Customisation • Quality • Responsiveness • Cost competitiveness • Develop target-account lists for priority industries. • Identify companies that require specialised or customised manufacturing rather than high-volume commodity production. • Monitor market trends, technology developments, customer investments and new product launches to identify potential opportunities. • Develop specific market-entry strategies for new industries and customer segments. 4. Account Development • Build strategic relationships with key existing and prospective customers. • Identify opportunities to expand from: • PCBA → Box Build • PCBA → System Integration • Prototype → Mass Production • Board Manufacturing → Equipment Manufacturing • Manufacturing → Engineering Services • Product → Multiple Product Programs • Conduct regular customer reviews to identify new projects and upcoming requirements. • Develop multi-level relationships within strategic accounts to increase customer engagement and retention. 5. RFQ, Quotation & Sales Conversion • Lead the commercial process from initial enquiry through contract award. • Understand customer technical requirements and translate them into clear internal requirements. • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Finance to develop competitive quotations. • Coordinate: • BOM costing • Labour costing • Manufacturing costs • Material costs • Tooling • Testing • Engineering charges • NRE / development charges • Logistics • Production lead times • Prepare quotations with appropriate margins. • Lead quotation negotiations and close business. • Track RFQs and opportunities until final customer decision. • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and opportunity stages. 6. Solution Selling • Understand the customer’s business and manufacturing problems. • Develop solutions that address: • Cost reduction • Supply-chain resilience • Capacity constraints • Quality issues • Manufacturing complexity • Lead-time reduction • Supplier consolidation • Production transfer • NPI requirements • Product localisation • Work with internal technical teams to develop customised manufacturing solutions. 7. New Product Introduction & Manufacturing Transfer • Identify customers requiring: • NPI support • Prototype builds • Design-for-Manufacturing input • Production transfer • Supplier transfer • Manufacturing localisation • Second-source manufacturing • Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production. • Develop opportunities to take over products currently manufactured internally by customers or competing suppliers. • Build relationships with customers early in their product development cycle to secure production programs. 8. Strategic Partnerships • Develop partnerships with: • Semiconductor companies • Equipment manufacturers • OEMs • ODMs • Start-ups • Engineering companies • System integrators • Technology companies • Medical technology companies • Develop long-term manufacturing agreements and strategic partnerships. 9. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis • Monitor competitors, manufacturing trends and customer requirements. • Identify competitor strengths, weaknesses, pricing and service offerings. • Maintain intelligence on: • New technology companies • New product launches • Manufacturing outsourcing trends • Industry investments • Factory expansions • Supply-chain changes • M&A activity • Provide management with actionable market intelligence and recommendations. 10. Internal Coordination • Work closely with: • Engineering • Production • Quality • Procurement • Operations • Finance • Project Management • Ensure customer requirements are properly communicated internally. • Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, factory visits and project reviews. • Coordinate customer visits. • Ensure commercial commitments are aligned with manufacturing capability and capacity. • Support successful project handover from Sales to Operations. Job Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in: Electronics Engineering, Business Sales and Marketing or any other related studies. • Minimum 5 years of B2B business development / sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, electronics, engineering or technology. • Experience selling one or more of: • PCBA • EMS • Box build • Contract manufacturing • Equipment manufacturing • System integration • Engineering services • Semiconductor equipment • Industrial automation • Electronics manufacturing • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chains. • Proven track record of acquiring new customers and generating new business. • Strong commercial and negotiation skills. • Willingness to travel within Singapore and internationally, particularly across APAC. #J-18808-Ljbffr
