Marketing Manager, Rare Tumors Portfolio Role Purpose The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic and operational leadership of the Oncology and Rare Disease portfolio in India. This role will lead brand strategy, innovator launches, go-to-market execution, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize patient access and business performance. The incumbent will play a critical role in accelerating growth of the existing oncology portfolio while preparing and executing successful launches of upcoming oncology and rare disease assets in India. Key Responsibilities • Brand & Portfolio Strategy • Develop annual and long-term strategic plans for the Rare Tumors portfolio. • Build differentiated brand positioning and value propositions. • Lead portfolio performance management and growth acceleration initiatives. • Develop customer segmentation and targeting strategies. • Create integrated promotional and non-promotional campaigns. • Monitor market performance, prescriptions, and competitor activities. • Drive achievement of portfolio sales, market share, and business objectives. • Rare Tumor Ecosystem Development Centres of Excellence Development • Identify and map Centers of Excellence (CoEs) across the country. • Assess institutional readiness for diagnosis and treatment of rare tumors. • Develop engagement plans to strengthen referral pathways. • Facilitate knowledge exchange and best-practice sharing among centres. Referral Network Development • Map patient referral journeys and key referral sources. • Identify barriers leading to diagnosis delays. • Build strategic programs to improve patient movement through the treatment pathway. • Collaborate with specialists across oncology, pathology, genetics, surgery, and multidisciplinary teams. KOL & Expert Network Management • Identify and engage national, regional, and emerging experts. • Develop strategic advisory boards and scientific exchange platforms. • Facilitate peer-to-peer education initiatives. • Support development of future rare tumor champions. • Diagnostics & Patient Identification • Develop strategies to improve diagnosis and biomarker testing rates. • Establish partnerships with diagnostic providers and laboratories. • Identify testing gaps and barriers impacting patient identification. • Support implementation of disease awareness and screening initiatives. • Collaborate with Medical Affairs to develop diagnostic education programs. • Monitor patient funnel performance from diagnosis to treatment initiation. Key Focus Areas • Diagnostic ecosystem mapping • Laboratory partnerships • Molecular testing expansion • Patient identification programs • Diagnostic pathway optimization • Patient Access & Market Development • Partner with Market Access and Government Affairs teams to improve treatment access. • Understand payer landscape, reimbursement mechanisms, and policy environment. • Develop strategies to address affordability and treatment adoption barriers. • Support innovative access initiatives and patient support programs. • Identify opportunities with public and private healthcare systems. • Contribute to value communication and evidence generation initiatives. • Launch Readiness & New Product Planning • Lead launch planning for pipeline rare tumor assets. • Develop launch excellence roadmaps. • Coordinate cross-functional launch teams. • Define launch KPIs and success metrics. • Create stakeholder engagement plans for pre-launch and launch phases. • Conduct opportunity assessments for new indications and products. Launch Readiness Areas • Market assessment • Stakeholder mapping • Diagnostic readiness • Access readiness • Advocacy readiness • Competitive preparedness • Customer education • Advocacy & Patient Partnership Programs • Identify and engage patient advocacy organizations. • Support disease awareness campaigns. • Develop patient-centric initiatives addressing unmet needs. • Facilitate collaboration between advocacy groups and healthcare stakeholders. • Promote awareness of patient journey challenges. • Support healthcare policy discussions impacting rare tumor patients. • Omnichannel & Digital Excellence • Develop omnichannel engagement strategies. • Utilize digital platforms to improve customer experience. • Leverage CRM and customer analytics tools. • Implement personalized engagement journeys. • Optimize channel mix based on customer preferences and performance. Qualifications • MBA Preferred • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, or related disciplines preferred. • 6-12 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing. • Willingness to travel within India and internationally based on business requirements. Required Experience & Knowledge Rare Disease Experience Preferred. Proven experience in brand management, launch planning, or commercial excellence. Experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
