Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst who is genuinely curious about data and knows how to take an ambiguous business problem from start to finish. This individual will be responsible for identifying where relevant data lives, determining how to access and acquire it, bringing information together across multiple sources, analyzing it, and translating it into meaningful insights. This is not a role for someone who needs to be handed a clean dataset and specific instructions on what to analyze. The ideal candidate is naturally investigative, creative, and comfortable figuring out what questions should be asked of the data, not simply executing predefined reporting requirements. The analyst will work within a technical organization supporting software development and strategic initiatives. While some of the data may come from security or software-related systems, prior cybersecurity expertise is not required. The priority is finding someone who deeply understands data, can work independently, and can use modern analytics and AI tools intelligently to solve problems. Key Responsibilities Independently identify, locate, and acquire data needed to answer business and technical questions Work across multiple data sources and platforms to extract, combine, clean, and organize structured and unstructured data Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, relationships, and actionable insights Take loosely defined questions or objectives and determine the appropriate analytical approach Evaluate available data critically instead of relying solely on predefined requirements or reporting instructions Translate raw data into clear insights that technical and business stakeholders can understand and act upon Identify gaps in existing data and proactively determine what additional information is needed Build repeatable methods for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data Partner with software development, initiative, and technical stakeholders to understand objectives and provide data-driven recommendations Use AI and automation tools where appropriate to accelerate analysis while maintaining strong analytical judgment Communicate findings clearly through reports, visualizations, presentations, and data storytelling Skills and Requirements Strong hands-on experience in data analysis, including acquiring, cleaning, combining, interpreting, and analyzing data Demonstrated ability to independently find and obtain data, rather than relying on others to provide prepared datasets Strong SQL skills and ability to query and work with complex datasets Experience working with modern cloud-based data environments such as Azure and/or Snowflake Ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple disparate sources Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured analysis Proven ability to identify meaningful trends, patterns, anomalies, and insights within large or complex datasets Ability to determine what data matters and what questions need to be asked, rather than simply executing predefined requests Strong data cleansing, transformation, and data-quality skills Experience communicating analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently and proactively in an environment where requirements may not always be fully defined Genuine curiosity and passion for investigating data and uncovering insights Experience with Azure data services Experience with Snowflake Experience analyzing data from Elastic / Elasticsearch Familiarity with Snyk or other technical/security data sources Experience working with APIs or programmatically acquiring data from different systems Experience with Python or another analytical scripting language Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or other data visualization/reporting platforms Experience working with software engineering, DevOps, cloud, cybersecurity, or other highly technical teams Familiarity with software development or application-related datasets Exposure to cybersecurity analytics, vulnerability data, application security, or security tooling Experience applying AI/LLM tools to data analysis and investigation Experience building repeatable or automated data collection and analysis processes Experience operating in an environment with numerous systems and imperfect or fragmented data sources We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
