Responsibilities

Promote and sell the organisation’s products and services to achieve or exceed sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned customer accounts and market segments. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions. Respond to customer enquiries and provide timely support throughout the sales process. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery arrangements within approved guidelines. Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through to order closure.

Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and share insights with relevant internal stakeholders. Prepare and execute sales plans to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support business growth.

Requirements

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in food distribution, FMCG, foodservice, or related B2B sales environments. Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders. Experience managing and growing customer accounts within the foodservice industry.

Existing network and business relationships with restaurants, caterers, institutional kitchens, or related customers is an added advantage. Strong B2B sales, negotiation, and account management skills. Experience in solution-based selling and customer retention strategies.

Good understanding of sales and marketing principles. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets. Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
