Senior Power Systems Analyst - Grid Integration

About the Role Our client is seeking a highly analytical Senior Power Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team, working entirely remotely. This role focuses on the complex challenges of integrating renewable energy sources and other distributed energy resources (DERs) into the existing power grid infrastructure. You will perform detailed power flow, stability, and short-circuit analyses to ensure grid reliability, security, and compliance with regulatory standards. Your work will directly contribute to a more sustainable and resilient energy future, supporting the transition to cleaner energy technologies. Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive power system studies , including load flow, transient stability, short-circuit analysis, and harmonic analysis. • Model and analyze the impact of renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, and other DERs on grid performance. • Develop and validate system models using industry-standard software tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD). • Ensure compliance with grid codes, interconnection standards, and regulatory requirements for new generation and transmission projects. • Identify potential grid constraints and recommend solutions to maintain system reliability and operational security. • Prepare technical reports, present findings to stakeholders, and collaborate with planning and operations teams. Requirements • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power system analysis, particularly in grid integration of renewable energy or DERs. • Proficiency with advanced power system simulation software and analysis techniques. • Strong understanding of power system operations, dynamics, and stability principles. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills. • Experience with dynamic simulation and contingency analysis is highly preferred.
