Our businesses – including Burson, Autobarn, Midas, Truckline, BNT and JAS – are inside cars, on four-wheel drives and all over trucks. We are an ASX listed company whose business spans the end-to-end aftermarket supply chain covering trade, retail, networks and service. In joining our team, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive business with more than 900 locations and 5,000 team members across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where our people can thrive and do their best work. We’re also passionate about our delivering for our customers, and living our values of: • We do the right thing • We are in it together • We give a damn • We get it done Job Description We are seeking a commercially curious and highly analytical Commercial Financial Analyst to join our JAS Finance Team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering commercial reporting, insights and analysis across the JAS business. You'll work closely with Sales & Operations, Product and Marketing teams to understand what is happening across sales, margins, products, brands, customers, inventory and individual branches. A major focus of the role will be creating relevant and timely reporting that goes beyond simply presenting numbers. You'll identify trends as they emerge, investigate what is driving performance and provide insights that help the business respond quickly during the trading month. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly capable with data and reporting and wants to build their career in commercial finance. Key Responsibilities • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly sales and commercial reporting, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and key performance drivers. • Perform detailed analysis across sales, margins, products, brands, customers and branches to provide meaningful commercial insights to the business. • Partner with Sales & Operations, Product and Marketing teams to understand performance and translate business requirements into relevant reporting and analysis. • Analyse inventory and product performance to identify duplication, excess and obsolete stock and opportunities to improve inventory outcomes. • Support and enhance branch-level P&L reporting across JAS, helping provide greater visibility of individual branch performance. • Manage the financial reporting and reconciliation requirements for key accounts, including customer rebates and loyalty programs. • Create and continually improve reports using Excel, VBA and Power BI, enabling stakeholders to quickly identify trends and make informed decisions. • Support month-end, budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement activities while maintaining strong attention to detail, accuracy and financial controls. Qualifications You are someone who enjoys getting behind the numbers and understanding why performance is changing, rather than simply producing a report. You are agile, tactical and comfortable responding quickly when emerging sales or margin trends require further investigation. You are also a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the discipline to thoroughly review and validate your own work before sharing it with stakeholders. You will bring: • Approximately 2–3 years' experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, management accounting or a similar analytical finance role. • Demonstrated experience analysing top-line commercial performance, ideally across sales, margins, products, brands, customers or locations. • Strong reporting capability with the ability to turn complex data into practical and commercially relevant insights. • Advanced Excel skills, with VBA experience highly regarded. • Experience creating or enhancing reports and dashboards using Power BI. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with excellent attention to detail. • Confidence partnering with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Marketing and Finance. • A self-starting, agile and commercially curious mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities. Highly Regarded • Experience working with Pronto, Cognos or Phocas. • Experience analysing inventory, product performance, pricing or margin. • Exposure to customer rebates or loyalty programs. • Experience within a product-based organisation, particularly automotive, FMCG, heavy vehicles, mining, wholesale or distribution. • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
