Commercial Analyst

We are seeking a commercially curious and highly analytical Commercial Financial Analyst to join our JAS Finance Team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering commercial reporting, insights and analysis across the JAS business. You'll work closely with Sales & Operations, Product and Marketing teams to understand what is happening across sales, margins, products, brands, customers, inventory and individual branches. A major focus of the role will be creating relevant and timely reporting that goes beyond simply presenting numbers. You'll identify trends as they emerge, investigate what is driving performance and provide insights that help the business respond quickly during the trading month. Key Responsibilities • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly sales and commercial reporting, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and key performance drivers. • Perform detailed analysis across sales, margins, products, brands, customers and branches to provide meaningful commercial insights to the business. • Partner with Sales & Operations, Product and Marketing teams to understand performance and translate business requirements into relevant reporting and analysis. • Analyse inventory and product performance to identify duplication, excess and obsolete stock and opportunities to improve inventory outcomes. • Support and enhance branch-level P&L reporting across JAS, helping provide greater visibility of individual branch performance. • Manage the financial reporting and reconciliation requirements for key accounts, including customer rebates and loyalty programs. • Create and continually improve reports using Excel, VBA and Power BI, enabling stakeholders to quickly identify trends and make informed decisions. • Support month-end, budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement activities while maintaining strong attention to detail, accuracy and financial controls.
