About the role Our client in Pretoria is recruiting for a Full Stack Developer (Senior) to join their team. • Conduct with the feature team members, system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical products or applications within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. • Create solutions and solve problems using a cloud-native toolchain and AI coding assistants as a standard part of delivery. • Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. • Work to ensure that systems are safe and secure against Cybersecurity threats. • Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines to maintain quality control and deployment agility. • Resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-2/3 DevOps team to ensure the highest availability of critical applications. • Plan and execute upgrade of existing applications, tools, and features. • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter. What they're looking for • Qualifications/Experience: • IT Degree / Diploma. • experience with Angular and/or Java applications, min 10+ years. • experience with AI-assisted engineering practices. • Essential Skills Requirements: • Languages: Java, Typescript. • Frontend: Angular, JSF. • Java Appserver: Glassfish, Glassfish Micro, Quarkus. • Webserver: Apache, Nginx. • CI/CD: Version Control, Build and Deployment Pipelines (Maven, GIT, Sonar, Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Container registries). • Infrastructure: Familiar with Cloud - AZURE(Preferred). • Databases: (Oracle, PostgreSQL, PLSQL). • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes. • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent). • Understanding of context engineering principles for enterprise AI applications. • Familiarity with AI evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices. • Secure coding practices. • Advantageous Skills Requirements: • Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and AI orchestration frameworks is desirable. • Operational Excellence: Strong operational management skills with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. • Effective Communicator: Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, facilitating clear dialogue across teams. • Test automation • TDD / BDD • Secure coding • Performance optimization • Observability and monitoring • Incident Management • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or Ansible or Cloud formation.
