Azure DevOps Engineer

• Azure DevOps Engineer with a strong Platform Engineering focus • Daily rate contract • Help mature cloud platforms, standards and engineering practices We're looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team and help mature its Azure platform and engineering capability. This is a hands-on role spanning project delivery, platform engineering, automation and operational support. This isn't a role focused purely on managing pipelines. You'll deliver solutions while improving the underlying platform, introducing better automation, reusable patterns and engineering standards that make future delivery faster and more reliable. About the Role • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across the Azure environment. • Develop and improve Infrastructure as Code - Bicep preferred. • Automate manual processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI and other tooling. • Improve monitoring, observability and operational reliability across cloud platforms. • Develop reusable patterns, standards and guardrails for engineering teams. • Identify technical debt and improve existing platform capabilities. • Support production Azure environments and resolve complex technical issues. • Work with delivery teams while continually improving the underlying platform. About You • Strong hands-on Azure engineering or Platform Engineering experience. • Good experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices. • Strong Infrastructure as Code capability, ideally using Bicep. • Good PowerShell and Azure CLI automation experience. • Strong understanding of Azure governance, monitoring and observability. • An automation-first mindset with a focus on reusable solutions. • Comfortable working across project delivery and operational engineering. • Able to demonstrate ownership and a track record of improving engineering practices.
