Operator - Transfer Station

We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available for reliable and safety-focused Transfer Station Operators at our Pauanui, Martarangi, Whitianga, Thames and Coromandel sites. The role you’ll play You’ll help keep the transfer station running safely and efficiently while providing friendly, helpful service to our customers. This is a varied, hands-on position involving customer assistance, traffic management, site maintenance and the operation of plant and equipment. Key responsibilities • Directing customers and traffic safely around the transfer station. • Guiding the correct placement of waste and recyclable materials. • Operating onsite plant and equipment. • Helping maximise recycling and reduce waste sent to landfill. • Keeping buildings, grounds and roadways clean and tidy. • Completing general labouring and basic administrative duties. • Maintaining accurate records and paperwork. • Delivering professional and friendly customer service. • Following all health, safety and environmental procedures.
