Management Accountant

The Role This role reports to the FM (NZ) and works part of a small, collaborative and tight knit team. It will play a key role in the supporting all elements of the local finance function ($50m business). Some of your key responsibilities are: • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and costing processes, working with department heads to gather information and monitor performance. • Analyse actuals against budget and forecasts, identify variances and provide insights on key business and financial performance indicators. • Assist with management reporting, financial statements, compliance, audit and maintaining strong financial controls. • Identify opportunities to improve finance and administration processes, including automation, cost efficiencies and better use of technology. • Investigate system issues, identify root causes and implement improvements to processes, functionality and reporting. • Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including user training and monitoring the effectiveness of improvements. Your Profile We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. You'll need to be confident working in a dynamic setting and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. We are looking for the following: • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting roles • Experience within distribution, supply chain, logistics, or FMCG industries highly desirable • An understanding of stock/inventory • Proficiency in Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems and strong Excel skills • Strong analytical and communication skills • Ability to hit the ground running and contribute from day one • A roll up your sleeves attitude and happy pitching in across the board To be considered for the role you will need to reside in Auckland and have full working rights locally.
