Be part of a team where your work makes a difference, with opportunities to grow, collaborate, and thrive. The Senior Director, Finance Transformation will play a key role in advancing CAE's finance transformation vision by translating enterprise priorities into a structured portfolio of measurable, technology-enabled improvements across the global Finance function. As a transformation leader, this individual will foster cross-functional collaboration, lead change management and communication efforts, and support executive decision-making through high-impact initiatives and reporting. Key Responsibilities • Define the global Finance transformation strategy and translate enterprise objectives and long-term business priorities into a clear and structured roadmap. • Own and govern the Finance Transformation portfolio, including prioritization, investment planning, and delivery of high-impact initiatives. • Establish and lead robust governance frameworks to ensure cross-functional alignment, accountability, and effective decision-making across global initiatives. • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale transformation programs, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and value realization. • Champion operational excellence and process standardization across the global Finance function by leveraging continuous improvement methodologies. • Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of strategic technologies, including automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, to improve the efficiency, control, and scalability of Finance operations. • Develop and execute the Finance transformation change management strategy, ensuring stakeholder engagement, adoption, and alignment across teams. • Partner with senior leaders across Finance, IT, and Business Units to identify, prioritize, and execute transformation opportunities while accelerating innovation. • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), value-tracking mechanisms, and reporting processes to measure transformation impact and support executive decision-making. • Build organizational capability by coaching and developing Finance teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Lead post-implementation reviews to validate benefit realization, capture lessons learned, and strengthen governance and process ownership. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior leadership roles within Finance. • Proven experience leading finance transformation programs within complex global organizations. Preferred Qualifications • Strong experience in project management and continuous improvement; Six Sigma certification is considered an asset. • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable plans, governance frameworks, and measurable outcomes. • Deep expertise in digital finance technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, and analytics platforms, with the ability to assess and implement practical solutions that enhance Finance effectiveness and scalability. • Significant experience in governance, stakeholder management, and executive-level influence. • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, drive results, inspire creativity, and foster innovation across functions and geographies. • Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence without direct authority, and align diverse stakeholder groups around common objectives. • High level of resilience and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation capabilities.
