Job Description

Position: ​​​​​​ Mechanical Engineer Location: Pickering, ON (Onsite) Structure : Contract 18 months to start Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 p/h inc. + HST -- We have a great new opportunity to support one of our Energy Sector clients in a contract capacity! Please see below for more information on the position and if interested, apply with an updated resume aligned to the needs of the role. — ​​​ ​​​​ ​​​ ​​​​​​ ​​​​ ​​​​​ ​​​​​ ​​​​​ ​​​​​ ​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​ Deliverables • Produce and deliver high-quality Mechanical Engineering design products for the Pickering Safe Storage Project , meeting established safety, quality, schedule, and cost commitments. • Prepare, review, and revise engineering specifications, drawings, procedures, technical justifications, operations/training manuals, and qualification plans in accordance with OPG engineering governance and documentation requirements. • Execute Engineering Change Control (ECC) activities and perform field walkdowns/verification to validate design assumptions, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering support and oversight during field execution. • Support project delivery through Project Execution Plans, estimates, Risk Registers, Business Case Summaries, and other project documentation , while interfacing with regulators, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams on technical matters. Experience Required • 5+ years of Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering experience , supported by a four-year university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering . • Ontario P.Eng. designation is required and should be treated as a firm screening requirement. • Demonstrated engineering design experience, preferably involving Engineering Change Control (ECC) , controlled engineering documentation, design modifications, field verification, and execution support. • Nuclear industry experience is preferred , ideally within an operating nuclear generating station, refurbishment, decommissioning, or Safe Storage environment. • Experience with project management/project coordination is an asset, including planning, estimating, risk registers, business cases, schedules, and coordination of technical deliverables ​-- ​​​​​​​ CorGTA is an equal opportunity employer, please apply with an updated resume and ensure the required skills you are able to speak to for this position are included.
