Head - Credit Policy - Used Car Loan

Role Overview: Looking for a senior Credit Policy professional to lead the Used Car Loans Policy function. The incumbent will own the credit policy framework for the product, balancing business growth with portfolio quality and risk objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Own and drive the end-to-end Credit Policy framework for Used Car Loans. - Design and review policies covering customer eligibility, bureau norms, income assessment, FOIR, LTV, loan amount, tenure and approval criteria. - Define risk frameworks around vehicle age, valuation, make/model, ownership and resale value. - Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, vintage/cohort performance and emerging risks. - Recommend policy changes based on portfolio analytics, market trends and business requirements. - Establish policy governance, deviation and risk-control frameworks. - Drive scorecards, risk segmentation and rule-based/automated credit decisioning initiatives. - Partner with Business, Credit, Collections, Analytics, Operations and Technology teams. - Ensure policies are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal risk standards. Candidate Profile: - 1218+ years of experience in Credit Risk / Credit Policy with Banks, NBFCs or Auto Finance companies. - Strong experience in Used Car / Pre-Owned Vehicle Loans is preferred. - Should have handled Credit Policy at a senior/product/national level. - Strong understanding of Used Car underwriting, LTV, vehicle valuation, bureau assessment and portfolio risk. - Experience in portfolio analytics and policy formulation/modification. - Strong stakeholder management and ability to balance growth, risk and portfolio quality. - MBA/CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
