As our Business Development Manager, you’ll: • Develop and manage relationships across an agreed customer base, acting as a key point of contact for customer requirements and expectations. • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across the Wind Energy sector. • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities and activity are accurately recorded through our CRM. • Lead customer meetings, presentations and commercial discussions to promote Ainscough’s crane hire services and wider capabilities. • Develop both short-term sales opportunities and longer-term framework agreements. • Work closely with Operations and our wider teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively. • Lead regular Key Account Management activity, maintaining strong and proactive relationships with our customers. • Support PQQs, bids and tenders, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales. • Develop proposals, rates and service level framework agreements. • Support the negotiation of commercial, technical and contractual terms. • Work collaboratively to resolve commercial and contract issues and manage change requests effectively. • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to the wider Ainscough portfolio of services. • Use customer feedback and market insight to help identify opportunities for service and product development. • Ensure high standards of communication, reporting, quality and customer service are maintained. This is a national role, so regular travel and some overnight stays will be required. What are we looking for? You’ll ideally bring: • Proven sales or business development experience within the Wind sector or a similar environment. • Experience managing and developing key customer accounts. • Knowledge of the wind and renewables market. • Experience selling both short-term solutions and longer-term framework agreements. • Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with good numerical ability. • A proven track record of building relationships at multiple levels and successfully closing business. • The ability to identify and develop new opportunities that support growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. • Strong communication, analytical and IT skills. • Excellent relationship management skills and confidence operating in a customer-facing environment. • The drive to challenge the norm, influence others and push for excellence.
