Accounts Payable Clerk – Flixborough – Up to £30,000 (Full/Part Time) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable professional to join the Finance team of a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced, international environment. Join an established international organisation, becoming part of a collaborative and fast-paced finance team. You’ll play a key role within Accounts Payable, ensuring supplier transactions and payments are processed accurately and efficiently while gaining valuable hands-on finance experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience or an individual looking to develop their career in finance , with a strong eye for detail, good IT skills and a willingness to learn. Benefits: • Flexible working hours – Choose between part time (30 hours) or full-time • Up to 10% pension • Christmas shutdown • Annual company performance bonus • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays • Subsidised canteen & regular social events • Employee Health Plan Key responsibilities will include: • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure transactions are accurately recorded. • Completing supplier and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. • Processing supplier payments for both UK and overseas vendors, ensuring payments are accurate and made in accordance with agreed terms. • Preparing, checking, verifying and posting payment documentation. • Supporting compliance with VAT regulations and internal financial controls. • Liaising with colleagues across the business as well as external parties, including banks, suppliers and auditors. • Supporting audit requirements and ensuring financial processes comply with relevant policies and regulations. • Maintaining accurate financial records and providing up-to-date information on transactions and payment status. You will ideally have: • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. • Good general IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and software. • An organised and methodical approach to your workload. • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
