Principal Engineer - Civil & Structural

Description Responsibilities: • Develop Civil & Structural design from the Conceptual Stage through the Detailed Design Stage, providing sustainable and efficient solutions. • Involve in the Design and Development of the following for Greenfield and/or Brownfield, Minerals and Metals Projects like Phosphate-Beneficiation, Phosphate Granularization, Phosphoric and Sulphuric Acid • Establish Design Basis, technical specifications/philosophies, work scope/tender documents/narratives • Review design of Plant layouts, roads, drainage systems, etc. • Review and interpretation of Topographical and Geotechnical reports. • Checking Calculations, General Arrangement, Detail Drawings, 3D Models and MTO • Guide/review design of different types of concrete and steel structures and develop engineering calculations • Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers, serving as the primary point of contact for structural engineering matters. • Identify technical issues, define alternative solutions, establish pros and cons for multiple solutions, and make recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries and technical deviations. • Allocate tasks, provide guidance, and issue clear directions to ensure effective and efficient project execution. • Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, initiative, and analytical skills. • Supporting the Planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating and schedule preparation to support bid / tendering as required. • Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables. • Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
