Senior Automation Tester

Introduction We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Automation Tester with 6+ years of software testing experience and strong expertise in test automation using C#/.NET, Playwright, xUnit/NUnit , and API testing. The role will be responsible for quality assurance across Core Banking / Finacle platforms , integrations, APIs, data platforms, and downstream systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Postman/Bruno , and end-to-end banking processes, with the ability to lead testing activities and mentor junior QA engineers. Duties & Responsibilities • Own end-to-end testing activities across project and BAU initiatives , from test planning through production release. • Develop and execute risk-based test strategies covering functional, integration, API, regression, E2E and UAT testing. • Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and regression suites . • Build automated test scripts using C#/.NET, Playwright, xUnit and NUnit . • Perform REST API testing using Postman or Bruno. • Validate test data using SQL and Azure Cosmos DB . • Integrate automated test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines . • Implement and support continuous testing and automation-first QA practices . • Analyse business and technical requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage. • Manage defects through the complete lifecycle and participate in root-cause analysis . • Lead testing for Core Banking integrations, data migrations, data validation and downstream systems . • Validate complex banking workflows and ensure financial data integrity and reconciliation . • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners and other stakeholders throughout the Agile SDLC . • Provide technical leadership and guidance on automation and quality engineering practices. • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving testing standards and processes. • Support quality improvements across multiple initiatives and promote best practices. • Where applicable, use Azure Application Insights and KQL for application/test analysis. Desired Experience & Qualification • 6+ years of overall Software Testing / Quality Assurance experience. • 5+ years of hands-on Test Automation experience. • Strong hands-on experience with: • C# / .NET • Playwright • xUnit / NUnit • REST API Testing • Postman / Bruno • SQL • Azure Cosmos DB • Azure DevOps • Azure Pipelines / CI/CD • Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC and Agile methodologies . • Proven experience implementing and maintaining automated testing within CI/CD pipelines . • Experience in Core Banking or Financial Services testing is essential. • Finacle experience is highly desirable. • • Finacle experience is highly desirable. • Strong understanding of testing: • Core Banking systems • Complex integrations • APIs • Data migrations • End-to-end banking processes • Data validation and reconciliation • Understanding of financial data integrity and regulatory risk . • Experience providing QA leadership and mentoring junior testers. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Experience with cloud-native applications and microservices is advantageous. • Performance and/or security testing experience is an added advantage. • Exposure to Azure Application Insights and KQL is preferred.
