Senior Program Manager, Global Catalog Operations, Amazon

Amazon is seeking highly skilled and motivated program manager for Catalog Support Operations team. As a Senior Program Manager, you manage significantly complex initiatives that cut across multiple teams. You drive clarity in extremely ambiguous situations, where even the strategy itself may not be defined.

You work with multiple teams across various orgs in Amazon to drive programs to closure. You make trade off calls and proactively escalate potential risks to leadership and strive to put contingencies in place.

You do all of these tasks by leveraging your strong analytical skills and ability to analyze and derive insights from data.

This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

An ideal candidate in this role is a force multiplier who solves complex logistics challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.

Key job responsibilitiesDrive projects and programs that require collaboration across varied internal & external teams to ensure dependent deliverables are achieved as per the plan with due qualityExcellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to convey updates on issues, operational status and business drivers as needed throughout the activity cycle and during daily/weekly reviewsData-driven and deal with fragment datasets to discern insightsWrite effective documents to highlight customer pain points, opportunity size, data insights, customer/stakeholder anecdotes and recommendations to drive executive decision makingProactively monitor, identify and prevent potential issuesDevelop performance metrics to assist with driving business resultsLead initiatives to identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiencyMust be able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.

Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.
