Senior Site Manager - Construction Projects

About the Role Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Site Manager to lead and oversee their construction projects in Bloemfontein . This role is essential for the successful execution of building and infrastructure projects, managing all aspects of site operations from initiation to handover. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading construction crews, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. Key Responsibilities • Manage and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. • Develop and implement detailed project schedules and resource allocation plans. • Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site, conducting regular audits. • Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and site labor. • Perform regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards. • Communicate project progress and issues effectively to senior management and stakeholders. Requirements • A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction site management and project leadership. • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant building codes in Bloemfontein. • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage subcontractors, and resolve conflicts. • Proficiency in project management software for scheduling and progress tracking. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
