Accountant (Part-time) Freelance

Role - Accountant (Part-Time) Freelance Contract length - 3-6 Month Contract Location - Bruges This assignment requires 2 days per week and is a 3 to 6-month contract . There is potential for the role to expand over time as the company continues its growth trajectory. Following an initial onboarding period in the Bruges office, there will be flexibility to work mostly from home. Key Responsibilities • Manage the day-to-day accounting activities of the business, alongside tax requests • Process and maintain purchase and sales invoices • Perform bookkeeping activities and ensure accurate financial records • Handle VAT-related calculations and ensure compliance with Belgian VAT regulations • Prepare accounting entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities • Follow up on outstanding payments where required • Process and upload invoices into the company's factoring system Profile • Proven experience in a bookkeeping, accounting, or finance position, with around 3-5 years experience • Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and VAT legislation • Comfortable operating autonomously and taking ownership of the finance function • Hands-on approach with a willingness to support both accounting and administrative activities • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills • Experience with accounting software and digital finance processes • Dutch fluent is mandatory, with French and English being a plus • Experience in a growing SME environment is advantageous What's on Offer? • 3 to 6-month contract assignment • Part-time schedule of approximately 2 days per week • Hybrid working model with homeworking flexibility after the initial office-based onboarding period • Opportunity to join a rapidly growing business at an exciting stage of its development • High degree of autonomy and responsibility • Potential for the role and working hours to develop further as the company continues to expand If you are interested; apply below or send over your CV to louis.packham@vividresourcing.com
