Job Description
Location: Remote
Position Type: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Marketing & Communications ManagerAbout the RoleDigital Moment is looking for a Junior Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help grow our reach and engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and email. You will produce consistent, high-quality content across social media, email, and other formats, working from the strategic direction set by our Marketing & Communications Manager and executing it with reliability and care.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who loves making content and wants to see the numbers move. You will plan ahead, write and produce platform-native content, pull and interpret performance data, and support the programs, campaigns, and in-person events that bring Digital Moment's work to life. Along the way, you will help position Digital Moment as a leader in AI and digital literacy through thoughtful, well-researched content that reflects how we talk about technology: with critical thinking and responsible use at the centre, never fear.
You will work closely with our Program and Fund Development teams, and you will have real ownership of the day-to-day content and reporting rhythm that keeps our channels active, organized, and improving.What You'll Do1. Grow reach and engagement across our channels
• Produce a steady cadence of content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and email that grows follower growth rate and engagement rate toward sector benchmarks, with LinkedIn as the priority channel.
• Work toward clear year-one targets set with your Manager (for example, roughly 5% quarterly follower growth and a 2.9%+ engagement rate on LinkedIn), with full sector benchmarks as the longer-term goal.
• Grow email performance, with click-through rate as the primary signal. 2. Create and adapt content across formats
• Write and produce content across social media, email, blogs, event materials, and campaign assets, matching tone and format to each platform and audience.
• Produce platform-native content including TikTok/Reels, static graphics, and email, with first drafts that need only light revision.
• Maintain a consistently forward-looking content and production calendar across all channels, reducing reactive, last-minute work and supporting on-time delivery across campaigns. 3. Report on performance and surface insight
• Independently pull monthly performance data from native platforms and Hootsuite.
• Produce a first-draft monthly report that identifies trends, what's working, what isn't, and recommended next steps, for Manager review before finalizing.
• Track traffic from owned channels to program pages so the team can see what content moves people to act. 4. Support program visibility and traffic
• Drive and optimize traffic from our owned channels toward program and initiative pages, using platform-specific mechanics such as CTAs, link placement, and bio links.
• Support enrollment efforts led by our Program teams, without owning enrollment outcomes directly. 5. Research for thought leadership
• Research and surface current, credible statistics and trends on AI, youth, jobs, and safety to support content shared through Digital Moment's and our leadership's LinkedIn presence.
• Vet sources quickly and reliably under time constraints, and connect what you find back to what our performance data tells us resonates. 6. Support events
• Support the production of marketing materials for in-person events.
• Support on-the-ground activation logistics at events. Who You AreWe are looking for an organized, curious content creator who is ready to grow. If you meet most of these qualifications, we encourage you to apply. Content & Copywriting
• Strong copywriting across formats (social, email, blog, event materials), and able to shift tone and format across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Platform-native content production skills, including TikTok/Reels, static graphics, and email.
• An understanding of traffic-driving mechanics (CTAs, link placement, bio links) specific to each platform. Analytics & Research
• Comfortable with social media analytics: able to pull data from native platforms or Hootsuite and identify patterns, not just report raw numbers.
• Research skills, with the ability to find and vet credible sources under time constraints. Values & Language
• Alignment with Digital Moment's positioning principles: critical thinking and responsible use framing, with no fear-based AI messaging.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred. How You Work
• Organized and forward-planning, with low reliance on reactive work.
• Comfortable executing independently from Manager-set strategic direction.
• Collaborative: you work across Program and Fund Development teams without needing full ownership handed over.
• Reliable follow-through under deadline. Working at Digital Moment includes:
• 20 days of annual vacation (including 5 days in December during office closure);
• Group benefits including RRSP, parental top-up, medical and dental;
• Working from home, and a flexible 35 hour work week;
• 10 annual wellness days;
• Continuous learning and development opportunities. Digital Moment is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who champions collaboration, innovation, and diversity of thought.
We pride ourselves on being a truly collaborative, innovative and diverse team. We celebrate the big - and small - wins. We laugh often and love to build connections. We support and help each other learn and grow. We are really good at what we do and we care a lot about doing it. Apply if you belong!Application process:
