Chaayos - Product Manager - Operations Transformation

Product Manager - Ops Action Layer Location: Gurugram / Delhi NCR Experience: 5 - 9 years Function: Product Management / Operations Transformation Reporting to: CTO (dotted line to COO) About the Role: - We are looking for a Product Manager to build and scale an Ops Action Layer across our cafés, central kitchen and warehouse operations. - The role will focus on converting operational metrics into clear diagnosis-action workflows and playbooks, while embedding standardised processes and maker-checker mechanisms for critical exceptions. - This is a 50/50 Product + Operations role. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to build solutions within existing systems, while partnering with Operations leaders to drive adoption and standardisation. Key Responsibilities: - Build and launch action playbooks for priority operational KPIs. - Convert operational metrics and insights into clear next-best actions and workflows. - Design and implement exception-management and maker-checker workflows. - Work closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to integrate solutions into existing systems. - Partner with Café Operations, Central Kitchen and Warehouse teams to drive adoption. - Standardise operating processes and reduce dependency on individual methods. - Identify operational gaps through data, root-cause analysis and stakeholder inputs. - Define and track KPIs to measure the business impact of product and process changes. - Drive implementation from build-stabilise-handoff. - Influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority. What We're Looking For: - 5-9 years of experience in Product Management, Operations Excellence, Digital Operations or Operations Transformation. - Experience in multi-location retail, QSR, café, food-tech or supply-chain-heavy consumer businesses. - Proven experience of shipping products, workflows or digital solutions into existing systems. - Strong understanding of operational processes and KPI-driven decision making. - Ability to work effectively with both business/operations teams and engineering/product teams. - Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. - Experience in process standardisation, workflow design or operational transformation. - Comfortable working in a hands-on Individual Contributor role. Good to Have: - Experience with workflow automation or exception management. - Experience creating SOPs, playbooks or operating frameworks. - Exposure to analytics/BI tools and operational dashboards. - Experience working across stores/cafés, central operations and warehouse/supply chain functions. Who This Role Is NOT For: - Pure BI/dashboarding profiles. - Pure strategy/consulting profiles without implementation experience. - Candidates focused only on greenfield technology/product development. - Pure people-management roles.
