Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter

Introduction A leading organisation based in Salt River, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter for a six-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling specific vacancies and managing the complete recruitment process. Proven full-cycle recruitment experience is essential. Job Description The Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter will manage recruitment activities from vacancy briefing and candidate sourcing through to appointment and onboarding. The role also includes supporting HR administration, employee engagement and other people-related initiatives when required. The ideal candidate must be highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple vacancies within a fast-paced environment. This is an onsite position based in Salt River, Cape Town. Duties & Responsibilities • Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned vacancies. • Meet with hiring managers to understand job requirements. • Draft and advertise vacancies across relevant platforms. • Proactively source suitable candidates. • Screen CVs and conduct candidate interviews. • Prepare candidate shortlists and present recommendations. • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. • Conduct reference and background checks where required. • Manage candidate communication throughout the recruitment process. • Prepare and coordinate employment documentation. • Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees. • Maintain accurate recruitment records and update HR systems. • Assist with general HR administration. • Support employee engagement activities and initiatives. • Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment legislation and company policies. • Provide regular recruitment progress reports to relevant stakeholders. • Assist with compensation and benefits-related administration when required. Desired Experience & Qualification • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or a related field. • Additional recruitment or talent acquisition certification would be advantageous. • Good knowledge of South African employment legislation. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR or recruitment systems. Experience and Skills • Proven full-cycle recruitment experience is essential. • Previous experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Senior Recruiter or similar. • Experience recruiting across multiple job categories and seniority levels. • Experience in candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and selection. • Experience in onboarding, HR administration and employee engagement. • Understanding of compensation and benefits practices. • Strong stakeholder and hiring-manager relationship skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organisational and time-management abilities. • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing deadlines. • High attention to detail and confidentiality. • Availability to work onsite in Salt River, Cape Town. • Availability for a six-month contract.
