HEAD - TOTAL REWARDS & HR OPERATIONS Location: Gurgaon Experience: 15 - 20 Years Industry: BFSI / Housing Finance / Financial Services Qualification: MBA/PGDM in HR preferred ROLE SCOPE Reporting to: CHRO | Team Size: 15 | Employee Base: 15,000+ PAN India A senior HR leadership role responsible for end-to-end Payroll, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, PMS, statutory compliance, HRIS and HR Transformation for a large, geographically distributed workforce. The role requires strong experience in HR governance, process controls, regulatory compliance and large-scale HR operations, with the ability to work closely with the CHRO and senior management in a structured, process-driven financial services environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead end-to-end Payroll Operations for 15,000+ employees PAN India, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, governance and strong process controls. - Lead and manage a 15-member HR Operations/Payroll team. - Drive Payroll Operations and Labour Law Compliance, including EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Labour Welfare Fund and New Labour Codes. - Establish robust payroll governance, audit mechanisms, controls and compliance frameworks. - Lead Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits and ensure alignment with organisational policies and business requirements. - Drive PMS, compensation benchmarking, pay structures and compensation governance. - Oversee employee benefits, statutory obligations and HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle. - Lead HRIS implementation, HR technology adoption, HR Transformation and process automation. - Drive standardisation and digitisation of HR processes across a PAN-India workforce. - Strengthen HR MIS, dashboards, analytics and management reporting for the CHRO and senior leadership. - Ensure effective coordination with internal stakeholders, auditors, statutory authorities and other relevant agencies. - Develop and maintain robust HR policies, SOPs, governance frameworks and internal controls. - Partner with the CHRO on strategic HR Operations, compensation, workforce-related and employee lifecycle initiatives. - Build scalable HR Operations capable of supporting continued organisational growth. CANDIDATE PROFILE - 15 - 20 years of progressive HR experience, preferably from BFSI / Banking / Housing Finance / NBFC / Insurance / Financial Services. - Extensive hands-on experience in large-scale Payroll and HR Operations. - Experience managing payroll for 10,000+ employees will be highly relevant. - Strong understanding of Labour Laws, statutory compliance and HR governance. - Strong exposure to Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, PMS and Compensation Benchmarking. - Experience in HRIS implementation, HR Transformation, automation and process improvement. - Proven ability to lead and develop a sizeable HR Operations team. - Strong understanding of HR controls, audit requirements, process governance and compliance. - Ability to operate effectively in a structured, policy-driven and highly regulated financial services environment. - Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills. - Should have the maturity and breadth to take on a larger HR Operations / Total Rewards leadership mandate.
