Manager - Indirect Taxation & GST Services - CA

Position Overview: Bhatia & Bhatia, Chartered Accountants, is looking for a Manager - Indirect Taxation & GST Services to lead GST engagements and ensure compliance with the provisions of the GST Act. The role involves reviewing financial records, returns, and related documents to verify the correctness of turnover declarations, taxes paid, refund claims, and input tax credit availment while advising clients on GST implications and regulatory requirements. The position requires managing client engagements, leading teams, ensuring timely delivery of assignments, and supporting the growth of the firm's Indirect Tax practice. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and manage Indirect Tax and GST engagements, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery of assignments under the supervision of the Partner. - Review GST records, returns, and related documentation to verify compliance with applicable GST laws and regulations. - Ensure the accuracy of turnover reported, taxes paid, refunds claimed, and input tax credits availed by clients. - Oversee GST compliance activities, including preparation and review of various GSTR filings. - Conduct GST reviews, assessments, and due diligence for clients. - Identify areas of risk and advise clients on GST implications and regulatory compliance requirements. - Coordinate with clients and internal teams to manage engagement timelines and deliverables. - Support GST audits and ensure timely submission of reports to relevant stakeholders. - Assist clients in legally optimizing tax positions through informed application of GST laws and regulations. - Contribute to the development of the practice by mentoring team members and supporting internal knowledge-sharing initiatives. Qualification: - Qualified Chartered Accountant/LLB with 6-8 years of post-qualification experience - Prior experience working with a Chartered Accountant firm/Law Firm - Hands-on experience in GST compliance, audits, and advisory services General Requirements: - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities - Strong communication, drafting, and client management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment while managing multiple engagements - Strong research, planning, and critical thinking abilities - Proficiency in MS Office and accounting / financial systems - Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and provide practical solutions Required Skillset: - Strong technical understanding of GST laws and indirect tax regulations - Ability to review complex tax matters and provide practical advisory solutions - Strong mentoring and training capability for developing junior team members - Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills - Strong interpersonal skills and professional conduct Bhatia & Bhatia, Chartered Accountants https://bnbindia.co/
