Job Description

Job Title - Area Business Manager This position is based in Andhra Pradesh Job Purpose You will lead commercial activities across an assigned area in India. You will build trusted, professional relationships with healthcare teams and deliver insight-driven territory plans that support evidence-based care. You will coach and develop field colleagues and work closely with commercial, medical and operations partners to ensure ethical and compliant engagement. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain trusted, professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals across your area. • Create and deliver an insight-driven territory business plan that meets agreed objectives and improves patient care. • Coach, mentor and support field colleagues to strengthen customer engagement and scientific understanding. • Share clear, evidence-based clinical and product information to support decision-making. • Collect and report market trends, customer feedback and territory performance to inform local strategy. • Ensure all activities follow company policy, ethical standards and local regulations. Basic Qualifications: • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business or a related field. • Minimum three years’ experience in sales or other customer-facing roles, ideally in healthcare or pharmaceuticals. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language of the assigned area. • Practical commercial and business planning skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. • Comfortable using standard digital tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems. • This role is on-site and requires regular travel across the assigned territory. Preferred Qualification: • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical device sales. • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading field teams. • Ability to interpret clinical or market data and translate insights into practical actions. • Strong presentation and negotiation skills. • Experience organising or delivering educational activities for healthcare professionals. • A collaborative mindset and clear commitment to inclusion, ethical practice and patient focus.
