Cloud Administrator

Job Summary Support the administration, monitoring, security, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure GCC cloud environments. Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and monitor Azure resources, subscriptions, resource groups, and policies. Manage Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux) and SQL Server hosted on Azure VMs. Support Azure SQL Database, database monitoring, backup verification, and basic troubleshooting.

Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts. Support Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Route Tables, VPN Gateways, Private Endpoints, and Private DNS Zones. Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA, and access controls.

Perform Vulnerability Management Services (VMS) remediation, including security patching, OS hardening, vulnerability assessment, remediation tracking, and closure of security findings. Support cloud security, compliance audits, and implementation of security recommendations.

Assist with backup, recovery, patching, and operational health checks. Develop and maintain basic automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Troubleshoot cloud, server, networking, and database-related issues. Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services. Understanding of Azure SQL Database and SQL Server Administration. Experience with Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration. Knowledge of Azure networking fundamentals. Basic scripting using PowerShell and Azure CLI. Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and access controls.

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline. Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals). AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) and SC-900 (Security Fundamentals) are advantageous. Soft Skills St
