Perform or oversee load-flow, short-circuit, protective-device coordination, grounding, arc-flash, and power-quality studies. Define requirements for substations, transformers, medium-voltage switchgear, protective relays, generators, and associated control systems. Work with utilities, engineering partners, equipment manufacturers, construction teams, commissioning agents, and data center operators. Support equipment selection, long-lead procurement, factory testing, construction sequencing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing. Investigate electrical failures and operational risks, driving corrective actions back into Lambda’s standards and future designs. Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and partner facilities as needed. You Have experience designing medium-voltage electrical systems for data centers, mission-critical facilities, utilities, or large industrial campuses. Understand medium-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, grounding, protection, and control systems. Have experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or comparable electrical analysis software. Understand applicable electrical and safety requirements, including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA, and utility standards. Can balance reliability, capacity, maintainability, constructability, cost, and delivery schedule. Communicate clearly across engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders. Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience. Nice to Have Experience designing hyperscale, colocation, HPC, or AI data center campuses. Experience with utility interconnection, large campus substations, or behind-the-meter generation. Experience with protective-relay settings, generator paralleling, microgrids, or medium-voltage automation. Experience supporting factory acceptance testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, or failure investigations.
