This is a primarily backend-focused role (~70%) , with a smaller front-end component (~30%) working within an HTML/HTMX-based stack . Deep front-end expertise is not required, but candidates should be comfortable picking up front-end development when needed.

The role combines hands-on development with ownership of critical services and collaboration across product, data, and operations teams. You will contribute to system architecture, code quality, reliability, and the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

You will work hands-on with technologies including Python, SQL, AWS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture . The environment also includes data pipelines and orchestration technologies such as Apache Airflow.

Some of the main responsibilities for the role include: Design and implement reliable, scalable backend services and data pipelines . Develop and maintain backend applications primarily using Python and SQL . Drive engineering best practices around testing, code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

Improve system observability and participate in diagnosing and resolving production issues. Build and maintain data ingestion services using APIs and batch file processing. Modernize legacy workflows by replacing manual or spreadsheet-driven processes with automated and resilient syst
