Legal Assistant

A newly created opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a leading national law firm and provide dedicated support to a Partner within their Private Advisory practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in estate litigation who enjoys working closely with a Partner and taking ownership of their day-to-day support. The team is currently very slim, so you will play an important role in helping establish and support the practice as it continues to grow. The role • Provide dedicated Legal Assistant support to a Partner within the Private Advisory team; • Manage the Partner’s diary, emails and day-to-day administrative requirements; • Prepare, format and proofread legal documents and correspondence; • Assist with file management, billing and general matter administration; • Coordinate documents and assist with witnessing requirements; and • Work closely with the Partner and take ownership of the support function. About you • At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary; • Previous experience supporting an estate litigation practice is highly desirable; • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills; • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities; • Professional, reliable and proactive in your approach; and • Someone who enjoys working in a smaller, quieter team environment.
