Financial Planning & Systems Analyst

Robert Half is partnering with a great company to find a Finance Data & Systems Analyst for a growing international business. Finance Data & Systems Analyst We're looking for a Finance Data & Systems Analyst to play a key role in improving performance visibility across the business. Working closely with Finance, FP&A, and Data teams, you'll help enable better decision-making through reliable data, strong analytics, and smart use of digital tools. This role suits someone who understands core Finance processes and can also drive automation, AI adoption, and continuous improvement within the function. What you will do Finance Data & Analytics: • Act as the main Finance point of contact for the Data team, translating Finance requirements into practical, scalable data solutions. • Work with stakeholders across Finance to identify data needs, improve reporting, and support data-driven decisions. • Build, maintain, and improve Finance datasets, reports, and dashboards for accurate, actionable insight. • Support data quality, governance, and documentation to keep Finance data consistent and transparent. • Contribute to a commercial reporting workstream, building KPI dashboards and communicating performance trends to stakeholders. FP&A Systems: • Own the build and upkeep of the FP&A planning platform's models, including infrastructure, data flows, and dimensions. • Manage and prioritise support tickets and improvement requests from the FP&A team, resolving issues in good time. • Help the wider team make full use of the platform's capabilities for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. • Produce regular reporting from the platform. Automation & AI: • Spot opportunities to automate manual work and improve efficiency using data and technology. • Champion sensible, responsible use of AI in Finance - identifying use cases, supporting rollout, and encouraging AI-enabled ways of working. What you should bring Essential: • Solid understanding of Finance processes and business performance management. • Experience building and maintaining BI solutions and dashboards. • Track record acting as a bridge between Finance and Data/Technology teams. • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data platforms and analytical tools. • Good understanding of data flows, data models, and reporting infrastructure. • Experience managing priorities and supporting users of digital/business platforms. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear business insight. • Good stakeholder management and communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • A structured, problem-solving mindset and a continuous improvement approach. Desirable: • FP&A experience, ideally hands-on with an FP&A/planning platform (e.g. Pigment, Anaplan, Workday Adaptive, Vena), including model structure, dimensions, and integrations. • Experience working with ERP data. • Interest in applying AI and automation to improve business processes. • Experience with payments or transactional reporting.
