Job Description

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: • We require English working proficiency, as you will work with our team in London. • You should have commercial experience in native iOS mobile application development. • You should have strong object-oriented programming skills with Swift and Xcode. • You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • You should have experience writing unit tests using the XCTest framework. • You should have experience with MVVM + Coordinator and other architecture patterns such as SOLID. • You should have knowledge of mobile design best practices, including human interface guidelines and threading. • You should have good knowledge of core iOS libraries and frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Security, and Combine. • You should have experience with iOS application deployment, including testing, approval, and publishing to the Apple App Store. • You should have experience with automated CI/CD processes and tools. • You should have experience with monitoring and alerting to maintain a production application. • You should have a good understanding of REST and working with APIs. • You should have experience with Git flow. • You should have good communication skills and be able to work well within a delivery team and with Product and Operations. • You should be curious about new ways of working and open to different approaches and ideas. • You should be proactive and willing to help others and contribute ideas. • Nice to have: experience writing UI tests using XCUITest or another framework. • Nice to have: experience building or working with design systems, including UI development and white-labelling. • Nice to have: experience with modularisation and dependency injection. • Nice to have: appreciation for accessibility and understanding of how to meet accessibility requirements. • Nice to have: understanding of mobile application security considerations. • Nice to have: experience with React Native. • Nice to have: experience with feature flagging and A/B testing methodologies. • Nice to have: experience in the FinTech sector. • Nice to have: a Github, Stack Overflow, or app portfolio to share. Responsibilities: • Follow an Agile SDLC to develop and deliver product features for our native iOS Nutmeg application. • Take ownership of tasks from estimation through release and post-production. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve existing or newly identified prioritised defects. • Write tests for all code you deliver and adhere to best practices and standards to ensure high-quality code. • Take ownership of, or assist others with, bi-weekly releases and associated processes. • Participate in code reviews to support high code quality and continuous learning. • Share knowledge and participate in skill-share sessions across our iOS team and wider Engineering department. • Propose, contribute to, and collaborate on technical initiatives to improve and evolve our codebase and toolset. • Focus on solving the root cause of problems rather than only addressing symptoms.
