Job Description

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year Requirements: • We are seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented and experienced Data Consulting Director to join our growing Data & AI practice. • You have deep expertise in two or three of the following areas, with solid working knowledge across the others: Data & AI Strategy, Data Operating Models, Data Architecture, Data Governance & Management, Advanced Analytics & AI. • You have a solid working knowledge of the broader data and AI landscape. • You are a trusted advisor with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. • You have 7+ years involvement in heavy engineering and manufacturing in its broadest sense. • You hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • You are currently working in a major management consulting firm, or in industry with a management consulting background and proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation. • You have 10+ years of experience in data consulting, or a related role. • You have a deep understanding of trends in data governance, data platforms, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and analytics. • You have experience leading and delivering Data & AI projects. • You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders and overcome resistance to change. • You are skilled in identifying Data & AI opportunities, shaping value propositions, and driving growth. • You have a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. • You are able to keep pace with the rapidly evolving data and AI technology landscape. • You have experience in data, consulting, analytics, or a related function involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems. • The role is London based and may involve travel within the UK and Europe, so flexibility is required. Responsibilities: • We combine strategic advisory and thought leadership to build trusted relationships with C-suite and wider client stakeholders. • We translate complex data opportunities into clear business outcomes, use cases, and investment strategies. • We guide clients through their digital transformation journey. • We shape and execute data-driven strategies, leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and modern data platforms to unlock measurable business value. • We lead high-performing teams from multiple locations to design and implement innovative solutions. • We shape our propositions and services to support business development. • We create and qualify new opportunities, from initial discovery through to contract signature. • We anticipate sector trends and regulatory change, translating them into differentiated propositions. • We contribute to account strategies and collaborate with sales leaders to expand our footprint, leveraging trusted relationships and consulting-led sales. • We define and develop Data propositions, frameworks, and methodologies to grow our practice and ensure scalable, repeatable delivery. • We build, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary teams of consultants, engineers, and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. • We support career development and skills growth within the practice.
