Job Description
Looking for an experienced Project Manager – Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) to lead and coordinate cloud infrastructure projects within a government environment.
The role will oversee the planning, implementation and delivery of AWS-based infrastructure initiatives while ensuring alignment with government security, governance and compliance requirements. Location: Central (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Renewable basis)
Key Responsibilities
Manage AWS cloud infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and handover. Coordinate cloud, infrastructure, security, application teams and external vendors. Track project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
Support cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation and platform enhancement initiatives. Ensure compliance with government ICT, cybersecurity and cloud governance requirements. Manage vendors, project documentation, status reporting and stakeholder updates.
Support change management, operational readiness and transition to BAU teams.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in cloud or infrastructure projects. Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Good understanding of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS and CloudWatch.
Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation or data centre projects. Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD and DevOps practices. Experience in government or regulated environments would be advantageous. Strong stakeholder, vendor and project management skills.
