Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong expertise in Agile/Scrum delivery, stakeholder management, and cross-functional project leadership, along with proven experience in the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of IT Project Management experience, including at least 4+ years leading insurance-domain IT projects. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving Agile ceremonies, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Roles & Responsibilities: - Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget. - Collaborate with business, development, QA, architecture, and other stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria. - Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups. - Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and drive timely resolution. - Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, and other delivery artifacts. - Lead and mentor development teams, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and innovative working environment. - Manage project dependencies, timelines, resources, and deliverables across cross-functional teams. - Communicate project progress, risks, and key decisions effectively to senior management and clients. - Apply appropriate project management methodologies based on project requirements, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. - Support project financial management, including project costs, gross margins, P&L, and profitability where applicable. Ideal Candidate: - 8+ years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager. - At least 4+ years of recent experience in the Insurance industry, leading cross-functional IT projects. - Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. - Experience working closely with business, development, QA, and architecture teams to define project objectives and success criteria. - Hands-on experience facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies. - Strong experience in project performance monitoring, risk and issue management, and project documentation. - Experience mentoring and leading software development teams. Mandatory Skills: - Strong command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. - Fixed-bid project experience is an advantage. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior management and clients. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making skills. - Hands-on experience with JIRA, MS Project, and similar project management tools. - Strong Insurance domain expertise, including understanding of insurance processes, regulations, and customer needs. - Strong understanding of end-to-end IT project delivery and cross-functional team management. Preferred: - Experience managing project costs, gross margins, P&L, and overall project profitability. Work Schedule: - Candidates should be willing to work in the EST shift (9:30 PM 6:30 AM IST) when required, as the client is based in the US and the role involves working with US clients.
