Director of Finance & Business Performance

Job Description

We're rebuilding the finance function of a multi-location food-service business from the ground up, and we need a finance executive who wants to lead that transformation personally — not just report on it.

You'll take over the finance function, protect the essentials (cash, payroll, compliance), and turn finance into a real-time engine for decisions across the business. Once things are stable and running well, you'll have the option to stay embedded, build a successor, or expand into wider work across our portfolio.

What You'll Own Lead the complete finance function through a hands-on transition Build accurate, controlled financial reporting and protect cash and payroll Own budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash planning Make profitability visible by location, brand, channel, and product Evaluate pricing, promotions, and investment decisions with real business cases Redesign the finance team's structure, systems, and controls — and eventually build your own successor Requirements What We're Looking For Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at CFO level A track record improving profitability, forecasting, and cash management Strong commercial instincts — pricing, unit economics, investment analysis Advanced, hands-on use of AI and modern finance tools Professional finance/accounting qualification strongly preferred Bonus Points Experience inside a complex, multi-location hospitality, retail, or restaurant business Client-facing advisory or consulting experience History of challenging executives with hard evidence, not just opinions You'll Thrive Here If You...
