Construction Project Manager

Job Title: Operations Specialist Job Description The Operations Specialist will demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project. They will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting overall adherence to applicable regulations and codes. The role involves creating and facilitating the Project Quality Program to ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed to high standards. The Operations Specialist will develop and maintain construction schedules, lead project meetings, and provide strong leadership to construction team members. Responsibilities • Lead health, safety, and environmental protection efforts on the project. • Promote compliance with the Project Specific Safety Program and applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes. • Create and facilitate the Project Quality Program to ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed accordingly. • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes while maintaining quality standards. • Develop and maintain the construction schedule to meet milestones and completion dates. • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support project progression. • Provide strong leadership to construction team members, leveraging strengths to achieve project targets. • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to optimize schedule and financial targets. • Maintain, track, and report all financial aspects of the project, including forecasts and billings. • Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor, trade, and supplier negotiations and awards. Essential Skills • 6+ years of experience in construction. • Experience in full cycle new build projects. • Ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints. • Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language. • Experience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam. • Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills. • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North York, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
