Through a combination of expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, the Investigations, Diligence and Compliance Core practice of Kroll helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding anti-bribery, anti-corruption and related regulatory mandates. These include pre-transactional intelligence; vendor, supplier and distributor due diligence; vendor screening and monitoring; country/industry risk; and bespoke inquiries. You’ll see how risk signals are identified, validated, and translated into clear, decision‑ready insights for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate, Investigations Diligence & Compliance (Specialist) is responsible for conducting research and analysis, managing resources, and preparing conclusions for clients. This role requires an imaginative and creative thinker with the ability to work to tight deadlines often balancing a significant and varied caseload. The incumbent will conduct in-depth research for a wide range of clients across a variety of industries; providing clarity in report writing. The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent judgment and be driven by professional excellence and a commitment to the Kroll brand. A key interest in due diligence, business intelligence, litigation support, business strategy and global events and markets is essential due to the range of cases that will be handled across various industry-sectors.
The Associate, Investigations, Diligence, and Compliance role is an entry-level position, where the incumbent is trained on basic investigative techniques required for the vast array of projects within Kroll. Associates are expected to:

Conducting research of companies, individuals, events, by using a wide array of sources: public databases, commercial and proprietary databases, and the internet.
•
Conducting research through site visits and interviews of sources identified.
•
Analyzing Client-provided data, such as financial records, internal documents and policies.
•
Planning research time and tasks to meet objectives set by the project manager.
•
Developing an understanding of the strengths, appropriate uses and limitations of research tools and methods.
•
Identifying patterns, abnormalities and interpreting their meaning within a context.
•
Organizing findings methodically to facilitate analysis and reporting.
•
Verifying and corroborating pertinent and noteworthy findings.
•
Identifying gaps and following leads within parameters of objectives, timeframe and budget.
•
Presenting accurate, relevant and robust findings to clients
REQUIREMENTS:
•
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required, advanced degree preferred.
•
Strong research and analytical skills
•
Strong investigative abilities
•
Prior investigative or research experience a plus
•
Writing skills, including ability to quickly and effectively summarize information from multiple sources into concise analytical assessments.
•
Financial proficiency and skills preferred.
•
Experience in forensic accounting, investigations, business intelligence, finance or due diligence is a plus.
•
Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines.
•
Bachelor’s degree required – preference for Accounting and Finance degrees, Law, International Relations and Journalism.
•
Native/Fluent Portuguese and English. Spanish a plus
