Founded by industry veterans with 30+ years of experience across construction, renewables, O&M, investment banking, and private equity, Hygenco is a pioneer in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our engineering efforts across proposal engineering, project engineering, and operations engineering. The Hygenco Engineering team is responsible for basic and detailed engineering packages and providing technical support across all phases of project lifecycle. This role is critical to the success of our hydrogen projects, as the Head of Engineering will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing a long-term engineering strategy. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering management, hydrogen technologies, and project execution, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive innovation. Required Qualification: - 15+ years of experience in Industrial Gas, LNG, Natural Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, or Fertilizer Industry as well as an understanding of codes and regulations pertaining to facility design and engineering. - Proven record in managing a broad range of projects including large ($50M+) capital investments. - Expertise in engineering software, Project Management certification (PMI/PMP) desirable. - Demonstrated ability to bring teams together to achieve project targets and goals across all project phases (proposal, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning). - Knowledge of design reviews, HAZOP / P&ID reviews, customer/supplier interface, and construction. - Coach, mentor, and lead the team for large or complex projects as assigned. - Ability to work within the office, supplier shops, construction, and operating plant environments. - Critical thinker who can think of creative and effective ways to improve existing designs. Educational Qualification: - Bachelors degree in engineering from a reputed institution. - Post Graduate/certificate courses will be an added advantage. Responsibilities: - Develop an engineering organization to perform complete engineering of Hydrogen, Ammonia, Nitrogen, and other process plants. - Manage all engineering activities pertaining to Bidding, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction phases of assigned projects. - Support proposal activities like Bill of material, cost estimation, solution engineering and preparation of technical proposals. - Manage all engineering functions related to operational projects and revamp projects. - Develop internal standards for engineering packages and contribute towards development of products, in order to avoid re-engineering. - Ensure that engineering design meets contractual obligations, is safely delivered on time, and within budget with the required quality. - Proactively manage risk and changes to the engineering scope, schedule, and budgeted quantities. - Lead all internal and external design reviews with the support of discipline leads and ensure effective coordination with internal departments and with client and third parties. - Identify and coordinate resolution of technical issues and resource constraints. - Support Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues.
