Oracle - Senior Platform Software Engineer - C++/Java

: As a member of the development team, you will design, code, debug, and deliver innovative analytic features that involve C++/JAVA/JavaScript/HTML/CSS/SCSS technologies. You will work closely with your peer developers located across the world, including Mexico, India, and the USA. Key responsibilities include : Software Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization : - Design, develop, test and deliver new features on a world-class analytics platform suitable for deployment to both the Oracle Cloud and on-premise environments. - Lead the creation of formal design specifications and coding of complex systems. - Leads code reviews in multiple areas to help drive improvements. - Work closely with the Product Management on product requirements and functionality. - Build software applications following established coding standards. - Conducts debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix complex software issues. - Communicate continually with the project teams, explain progress on the development effort. - Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or recommending new technologies. - Ensure quality of work through development standards and QA procedures. - Conducts performance profiling and optimization of coding, building scalable solutions, and anticipating and resolving potential outcomes. - Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration. - Implements complex API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies. - Implements and contributes to developing software, systems, and services, ensuring review by manager and/or senior technical leaders upon completion. Recommends project or design scope. - Provides technical guidance and coaching to less experienced developers in existing software architecture. - Contributes to periodic reviews and ensures adherence to architectural standards. - Collaborates with stakeholders and networks externally to ensure work aligns with software architecture. - Implements complex performance optimization and scalability strategies in software design. - Occasionally conducts technology research and evaluation for potential architectural changes that may have an impact on results for the team. - Collaborates with the team and externally to follow development practices and coding standards, providing coaching to less experienced team members. - Participates in peer review processes, provides technical leadership, and ensures code quality and adherence to broad acceptance criteria during development, independently. - Demonstrates and shares advanced knowledge of industry best practices and applies them to software development processes. - Implements complex secure coding practices to prevent security vulnerabilities. Development Operations - System Maintenance : - Performs periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities), sharing results with manager upon completion. - Drives improvements, ensures automation, testing, and debugging of systems to ensure service/product availability, health, support, and reliability. - Develops fixes for identified issues. Software Architecture - Software System Structural Design : Practices and Standards Compliance - Security and Compliance : Key Qualifications : - BS/MS in Computer Science or related major. - Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills. - Solid skills utilizing C++ and Java. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and MVVM principles. - Experienced in utilizing frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery. - Skilled in debugging and resolving client-side functionality and performance issues. - Experienced in distributed and scalable server-side software development. - Knowledge in developing, implementing, and optimizing software algorithms. - Solid knowledge of data structures and operating systems. - Hands-on experience using source control tools such as GIT. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Self-motivated and passionate in developing high quality software. - Strong Team Player.
