The US LBM DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible for working with leadership and vendors to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations along with company policies. This position will coordinate the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents.

The DOT Compliance Specialist will also conduct driver training and skills assessments, on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, and maintaining compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

What you will do Responsible for helping manage internal and external compliance reporting, providing compliance advice and assistance, conducting compliance investigations, and managinge the on-going education program.

Evaluate, analyze, and identify trends, and implement preventive and corrective measures to prevent accidents. Monitor and assist in enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance.

Coordinate the task of qualifying FMCSA regulated drivers and the storage of all required documents for a Driver Qualification File in the appropriate software. Coordinate the tasks of conducting pre-employment and annual queries in FMCSA’s Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Administer DOT mandated drug and alcohol testing to include random, reasonable suspicion, pot-accident, return to duty, and follow up tests. Facilitate and participate in driver and fleet safety committee meetings. Review, update, and create policies and proce
